The Detroit Blues Heritage Series Present Mardi Gras/Zydeco Blues

On Saturday, February 23, 2019, The Detroit Blues Heritage Series will present Mardi Gras/Zydeco Blues. This event will take place at the Historic Scarab Club, 217 Farnsworth in Detroit’s Cultural Center from 2PM until 4 PM. A $7.00 Donation is requested

Featured at this event will be Monsieur Guilluame and his Zydeco Hepcats. Monsieur Guillaume is a self taught accordion player who has worked as a studio musician who had held down house bands all over the Motor City for many years. He is joined by Erich Goebel on Guitar, Frankie Lee on Bass,  Mike “Ziggy” Ziegler on drums and percussion,  Perez “Butch” Morris on Frottoir (washboard) and Percussion, “Doctor” Dave” Watson Congas and hand percussion, and Joe LA Beau on tenor and alto sax.

Monsieur Guilluame and his Zydeco Hepcats will have everyone on their feet playing a mix of Zydeco tunes, Cajun waltzes and Blues favorites while placing their unique stamp on each song.

The Detroit Blues Society is a 501(c) 3 non-profit dedicated to the preservation and education of the Blues tradition as it relates to the Metro Detroit area. The Scarab Club 501(c) 3 non-profit dedicated to promoting a variety of creative expression.
