Our summer seems rather short this year because of a late start. It is certainly here now:
plants, animals and humans all in vivid colors. Bikini clad people baking in the summer

There is a little gem of a community treasure located in St. Clair Shores that is gradually becoming recognized for its contributions and guidance for patients and volunteers alike: The Lake House. Known as “The Gathering Place for Those Touched by Cancer,” The Lake House is now in its second location, getting out the message that “If there is cancer in your house, you are welcome in ours.”

As part of Eastern Market’s mission of “nourishing a healthier, wealthier, happier Detroit,” the nonprofit organization is offering a full slate of cooking classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays for both kids and adults in the Shed 5 kitchen.
Last year, many of us mourned the closing of Roma Cafe after nearly 130 years of delicious tradition.
Luckily, their former Executive Chef, Guy Pelino, has reopened it under the new name, "Amore Da Roma".
They are located in the same building at 3401 Riopelle, in Detroit's famous Eastern Market Distrct.
